What past attendees have to say
“Attending the AQ-IQ IRF PRO LAB™ significantly increased our program’s financial performance. By applying the concepts from the lab and increasing coordination of roles amongst physicians, coders and PPS coordinators, our program demonstrated a $20,000 per week improvement in reimbursement. This program is a must for any program looking to improve financial performance while ensuring medical necessity is well-documented.” (That is more than $1 Million in a year)

I want [my coder] here next time!
~ PPS Coordinator whose coder wasn’t able to attend.
I feel more confident. I struggled [before this training] with spinal cords.

Having my coders and PPS coordinators in the same room working on case examples was worth everything.

What You'll Learn
The AQ-IQ IRF PRO LAB™ Workshop is now a Virtual experience! AQ-IQ, LLC is partnering with Mary Free Bed Education Academy to bring you the AQ-IQ IRF PRO LAB™ Virtual! This course includes 20 hours of intensive training and hands on case analysis. The detailed information provided will assist the learner to understand CMS documentation requirements to achieve appropriate IRF reimbursement.
Attendees will be instructed on appropriate selection of codes for the IRF-PAI including IGC’s, etiologic diagnoses, comorbidities and complications, the principal diagnosis on the UB-04 and the expected variances for code selection between the two documents. Attendees will analyze actual IRF case studies for accuracy and opportunities, and will interact with other attendees to determine precision.
The interdisciplinary background of attendees allows invaluable conversations to break down the barriers of receiving appropriate payment.
At the conclusion of this course attendees will be able to:
Summarize IRF payment logic requirements.
Associate documentation and coding to payment compliance.
Analyze chart documentation to identify and validate opportunities and risks associated with IRF encounters as compared to payment accuracy.
Compare the differences in IRF-PAI versus UB-04 coding guidelines.
Perform detailed examination of medical record documentation to determine appropriate IGC selection and capture of other relevant diagnoses.
Assess medical record documentation and facilitate discussion with other team members to support the true patient severity of illness and the IRF encounter.
Compare the processes of ICD-10-CM coding to translation of the information to the IRF-PAI and identify process and communication gaps that result in claims risks.
Analyze and defend the CMG through open discussions and cases studies.
